Battlestar Galactica (2003) is mostly a Darker and Edgier Space Opera Deconstructor Fleet, but it openly is inspired by Blade Runner and other cyberpunk. Wells’ classic books are still read and loved today. “The Time Machine,” is considered by many to be the best science fiction novel ever written, and “The War of the Worlds,” and “The Invisible Man” are hardly slouches, either.
